Tips for using the Internet while Traveling

While traveling, more motels/hotels are furnishing a computer for people to check their email or look things up on the internet. Also airports and restaurants are providing free wireless connection for people to use. Some Cyber Cafe's charge by the minute for using their computers and that means getting your information quickly and getting off the internet. Through my own experience I used the Chenoa Website to find several items quickly without having to search or remember lots of internet addresses.

While being miles from home I wanted to know what the weather was doing, check the local grain prices, look up a news story or the obits in the Pantagraph or Daily Leader, or maybe find a phone number of a Chenoa business. As soon as I got connected I typed in www.chenoail.org and I was ready to start getting local information.

If anyone else can think of other links that would make it easier for using the internet while traveling, please email webmaster@chenoail.org and I'll add a link on this page.

Here is some of the links that help while traveling:

Local weather radar

The Pantagraph

The Daily Leader
