Decorating Contest Winners - 2006

ALZONA
LEE - 310 S. Second Ave.
Alzona Lee was our first place winner. We couldn't help but be impressed with all she had done. There was a lot of Red, White & Blue, along with a display of family pictures, a bench that displayed a picture of her husband in uniform beside his hat. There was a train carrying two small girls to the 4th of July Celebration. Alzona also had a great deal of family to help her celebrate. She displayed the best of all reasons to celebrate the 4th of July.

JAY BELL - 212 Owsley St.
Jay Bell was our 2nd place winner. He had decorated in Red, White & Blue in a manner that caught your eye and made you look twice. It reminded you of some of the old pictures of 4th of July Celebrations on the front porch.

SCOTT BEE - 418 McClellan St.
Scott Bee was our 3rd place winner. It was agreed by the judges, that this display showed what you would hope all children would remember about celebrating the 4th of July. From the Peace Sign blowup, to the support our troops sign, to the many Red, White & Blue decorations.

Chenoa, you did your town proud. Even with the threat of bad weather, you did some very nice house decorating for the 4th of July. The Theme this year was "Red, White & Blue . . . Chenoa and You.
The 4th of July Committee and the Judges would like to thank everyone that participated this year. Every year you get better and better. Hope to see you next year with a challenge. How many houses in Chenoa do you think will display a flag, no matter how big or small, for the 2007 celebration. Wouldn't that be wonderful to see?
