Mr. & Mrs. 4th of July is Francis "Bud" and Helen Vercler. They were nominated by Gwen Jolly, D.A. Schickedanz, Betty Morris and Carolyn and Merle Parry. Bud has been an active farmer all his life. He has been an active member of both Veterans organizations, American Legion and VFW. At present he is Secretary and Acquisition Chairman of the Chenoa Historical Society. Helen is a retired nurse who worked in the office of Dr. R.L. Oyer and at the Meadows Home. They are both active members of the Methodist Church.
